Terms of Service & Legal Disclaimer
Last Updated: March 30, 2026
Welcome to the XFM Electric Cooperative website. By accessing or using this website, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms.
1. No Professional Advice (Safety Disclaimer)
The content on this website—including text, graphics, and descriptions of electrical services (such as panel upgrades or EV charger installations)—is for informational purposes only.
WARNING: Electrical work is inherently dangerous. Improperly installed electrical components can cause fire, injury, or death.
NO DIY: Nothing on this site is intended as a "how-to" guide. XFM Electric Cooperative strongly advises that you never attempt electrical repairs or installations yourself. Always consult with a licensed, insured C-10 electrical contractor for any electrical needs.
2. No Contractor-Client Relationship
Use of this website, including submitting a contact form or requesting an estimate, does not create a contractor-client relationship. A formal relationship and any obligation to perform work only begin once a written Home Improvement Contract has been signed by both a member-owner of XFM Electric and the client.
3. Accuracy of Information
While we strive to keep our site updated with the latest National Electrical Code (NEC) and California Building Code standards, we do not warrant that the information on this site is 100% accurate, complete, or current. Local codes in Los Angeles and Cypress Park may vary.
4. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, and logos on this site are the property of XFM Electric Cooperative. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute our content for commercial purposes without our express written consent.
5. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall XFM Electric Cooperative be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on this website, even if we have been notified of the possibility of such damage.
6. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California. Any disputes relating to these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Los Angeles County.
